Managers
Hillary is responsible for day-to-day provisioning of service and general IT support within WIOCC. He works with the COO in developing and managing all WIOCC product offerings, systems, processes, customer support and network-to-network interfaces with other carriers.
Hillary joined WIOCC in 2009, having worked with Kenya’s telecommunications regulator, the Communications Commission of Kenya, for over nine years. During this time, he was key in the introduction of Kenya's data, VSAT and local loop licensing. Hillary also worked as a Technical Manager for WiMax Communications, a UK start-up with installations in a number of developing countries.
Hillary has a wealth of experience from his time in the ICT industry. He holds a PhD in Mobile Communications and an MSc in Communications Technology, both from Strathclyde University in Scotland, UK. He is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) holder and a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) Professional.
His interests include wildlife (watching and conservation) and computers.
Anthony is charged with day-to-day running of the Network Operating Centre (NOC) and he provides leadership, technical expertise and management to the 1st line support team in the WIOCC NOC. He trains and motivates NOC staff with the support of the Chief Operating Officer, while providing a consistent and direct line of contact for all office supplier and customer support issues via the Service Desk and other chosen methods.
He joined WIOCC in July, 2010 from Jamii Telecom where he worked as Operations Manager for 5 years. During this time, he was in-charge of day-to-day operational issues. Anthony also worked for Roshan Communications Limited in Kabul Afghanistan for one and half years as Transmission Network Planning Consultant. He has over 10 years experience in the telecoms industry.
Anthony's interest includes wildlife, travelling and game hunting.
Rebecca is charged with customizing client solutions through interface with suppliers, shareholders & EASSy parties, product costing, pricing and financial analysis of customer deals.
Rebecca holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree, accounting option from the University of Nairobi. She is a Certified Public Accountant (K) and a registered member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Business Administration at the University of Nairobi.
Rebecca joined WIOCC in 2009 from Equity Bank Limited where she worked as a management trainee. Her interests include swimming, networking, general reading and community service.
Jason is an experienced service & network operations manager specialised in building relationships with key external and internal stakeholders
to deliver exceptional customer satisfaction, revenue & margins and operational efficiency. He joined WIOCC from Reliance Globalcom
(former FLAG Telecom, Vanco & Yipes) where he worked in a number of key roles over a 12-year period, including head of the Global Network Operations
Centre and Director Service Management. Most recently he was Director, Engineering & Operations Support reporting to the CTO.
Jason holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the UK's Open University. He is interested in technology, cycling and travelling.
David is responsible for WIOCC’s financial obligations including customer billings, supplier management, procurement, revenue assurance and credit control function.
He holds Bachelor of Commerce degree, accounting option from the Catholic University of East Africa. David is a Certified Public Accountant (K) and a registered member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya. He joined WIOCC in 2010 after working for a real estate firm - Tysons Ltd as an accountant and Virtual Sat Ltd as the Revenue Assurance Controller among other accounting assignments. He has 7 years experience in audit, finance and accounting.
David's hobbies include nature trails, wildlife adventure and community service.
Paul Kariuki is responsible for WIOCC’s Enterprise Application Systems (Operations/Business Support, ERPs and CRM Systems) and Bid Management, as well as overall Operations Support. He works with the COO to coordinate teams involved in the order/delivery processes to ensure teamwork and rapid turn-around times on customer requests. He is also charged with ensuring the adherence, integration and cohesion of company systems and processes.
Paul joined WIOCC in February 2011 from the iWay Africa Group (formerly Afsat Communications Group) where he had worked for 5 years. At iWay Africa, he held several roles in Systems and Database Administration and Analysis. His last assignment was Team Leader- Business Support Systems, where he was critical in the automation of business processes in the group.
Paul has a wealth of experience in the technical and commercial aspects of the ICT industry. He holds a B.Sc in Electronic and Computer Engineering (First Class Honours) and has professional IT certifications from Oracle, SAP and SUN. He also holds certifications in CPA (Certified Public Accountant) and Advanced Projects Management (UNISA). Paul’s interests include computer programming, travelling and swimming.
Hitesh is responsible for the WIOCC business in South Africa and for providing support into the southern Africa region.
Hitesh joined WIOCC in 2010 having previously represented Information Bearing Signals (IBS) as their Africa representative. Hitesh’s business background is management, financial and entrepreneurial, having previously run his own businesses in Central and Southern Africa.
He holds an Honours degree in Business Studies from the University of Westminster in London and has varied interests which include cooking, travelling, sports and time with friends and family.
Marcel is responsible for sales in South Africa and for sales support into the southern Africa region.
Marcel joined WIOCC in 2010 having previously worked at Information Bearing Signals (IBS) as their Africa sales manager. Marcel’s business background is financial, having previously served as financial manager at CNBC Africa. He is a Chartered Accountant (South Africa) and a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants, and holds two honours degrees in Finance and Accounting. His interests include reading, travelling and music.
