WIOCC’s woman to watch – Nikki Popoola
Nikki Popoola, WIOCC’s Director, Sales – West Africa, has been named in Capacity Media’s recently-announced list of the 20 women to watch in the global telecommunications industry in 2020.
She is commended for her work in establishing WIOCC’s strong presence in West Africa through developing a rich network of partners and clients, and for building the strong relationships that are enabling WIOCC to extend its footprint and capabilities in the region.
“This industry is largely male-dominated and it has taken determination, dedication and character to deliver within my role. When I joined WIOCC, our presence in the region was minimal, but we are now firmly established as the wholesale carrier at the forefront of delivering hyperscale connectivity to West Africa,” explained Nikki.
She continued: “The WIOCC network provides our OTT, ISP and telco clients with diverse routes and reliable, scalable capacity which is vital for their business operations and growth within and out of the region.
