In 2022, WIOCC funded the Mobile ICT Programme, managed by MDCS ICT Mobile Solutions in South Africa. This skills academy offers ICT programs that comply with the BBBEE Act and BBBEE Codes of Good Practice, empowering the youth and community by creating a shared value. WIOCC supported the academy by buying ICT facilities and sponsoring ten learners with disabilities to participate in a leadership program focused on supervisory management.
The program aligns with the Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE) of Youth, and all ten learners successfully completed it in December 2022. Their graduation ceremony took place in April 2023, and we are proud to have contributed to their growth and development.
