WIOCC’s Nikki Popoola named one of 20 women to watch in the global wholesale carrier community

Mauritius, 30^th June, 2021 – Nikki Popoola, Director Sales – West Africa at WIOCC, has been identified as one of the 20 Women to Watch within the global wholesale carrier community in the latest issue of the industry’s leading magazine, Capacity.

In the “20 Women to Watch 2021” listing, which highlights the amazing work women are doing across the global wholesale carrier industry, Nikki is acknowledged for transforming WIOCC’s capabilities, profile and reach in West Africa. She is also credited for WIOCC being increasingly seen as the natural partner for cloud operators, content providers, fixed and mobile telcos and internet service providers (ISPs) looking to expand their businesses in the Western Africa region.

Regarded as a visionary and strategic thinker, Nikki is also commended for her work in the successful deployment of WIOCC’s high-capacity fibre infrastructure, which provides connectivity between subsea cable landing stations and points of presence (PoPs) in key cities.

This is the second consecutive year that Nikki has been included in Capacity’s “20 Women to Watch” list, which was first published in 2020.
