WIOCC shortlisted for Global Carrier Award 2020

We are honoured to have been recognised for our innovative ‘Business as Usual despite Covid-19’ online campaign by being shortlisted for the Best Social Media Campaign award at this year’s Global Carrier Awards. WIOCC is Africa’s sole representative in this category.

The pioneering online campaign was designed to help bridge the potentially damaging gap in face-to-face contact between our Sales team and their clients and prospects, caused by the postponement of high-profile networking events, telecom exhibitions and travel during the pandemic. The swiftly-conceived and adeptly-implemented campaign involved using our social media channels to share a series of short, tailored articles demonstrating, through employees’ personal experiences, how WIOCC was maintaining its ability to deliver exceptional client services and continuing to lead the way in building Africa’s hyperscale infrastructure during the pandemic. As well as reinforcing Sales ability to connect with clients and prospects during this period, and presenting the personal face of WIOCC, the campaign also drove a huge increase in engagement with our social media channels.
